Who is responsible for your information?

LayerPrintX is the data controller for personal information submitted through this website. Questions about privacy can be sent to [email protected].

Information we collect

We collect the details you choose to provide when making an enquiry, requesting a quote or sharing feedback, such as your name, organisation, email address, phone number, rating, comments, delivery postcode and product requirements. A 3D printing service request can also include model files and information about their intended use. Technical security information, such as an IP address, may be processed to protect the forms from abuse.

How we use it

• to inspect uploaded model files, assess printability and prepare manufacturing quotes;
• to answer enquiries and prepare other quotes;
• to review feedback and improve our products, service and website;
• to respond to feedback when an email address is provided;
• to discuss, administer and fulfil an agreed order;
• to keep necessary business and transaction records;
• to prevent spam, fraud and misuse of the website.

Service providers

The website is hosted by Cloudflare. Form emails are delivered using Brevo. These providers process limited information on LayerPrintX’s behalf to host, secure and deliver the service. Payment providers may process payment details if an order proceeds, but card information is not collected through the quote or contact forms.

Model files, retention and sharing

Uploaded model files are transferred privately with the quote request and are not placed in a public file area. They are used only to assess, quote and fulfil the requested manufacturing service. Information and files are kept only for as long as reasonably needed to handle the enquiry, administer an order, support an agreed repeat order, maintain business records or meet legal obligations. They are not sold and are shared only where needed to operate the service, fulfil an order or comply with law.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase or restrict the use of your personal information, or to object to certain processing.
